The Jewson Venture Code is a database of companies in health IT that have scored in the upper percentile of the venCODE scale. In general, it is a process of collecting and restating the growth expectations of vendors in healthcare IT, forming a score that identifies a high likelihood of a good deal. In fact, a venCODE’ed company not only offers high growth potential but ranks as an excellent finalist candidate for physician organizations. To find high-performing companies that meet basic requirements as M&A candidates, Jewson Enterprises established The Venture Code Program. This program promotes companies with venCODE’s ranging from a normalized 750 to 1000. A venCODE is calculated from data scores of PERFORMANCE and VC REQUIREMENTS criteria. Each category must score at least 75 percent to be considered.
The criteria set will change with market dynamics. For instance, the number and requirements of investors will be strongly influenced by venture capitalists and business executives. However, the normalized scoring scheme remains the same.
